In 2008, SAFTTY was founded in Guangzhou, specializing in the development and production of thermal protectors, the founder Mr. Zhu Jun has been focusing on miniature thermal protectors since 2002, and has gone through 16 years of development.
Today, Saffty focuses on switching power supplies, fans, range hood motors, tubular motors, industrial motors, reactors, electric heat tracing, hair straighteners, water pumps and other application segments, 50% of the products are exported to the world, and in-depth cooperation with international professional customers.
Saffty has an area of 6,000 square meters, 18 automated production lines, 22 factory management personnel, 100 production line workers, eight series of products, more than 30 product models, and a total annual production capacity of 60 million.

Ⅰ. Application Background
Heating belt systems are widely used in the technology industry, such as flexible heating cloth packs need to maintain the temperature in vacuum lines and gas lines used in various technology industries. Once the heating is out of control, when the heating belt does not stop heating, it is necessary to start the over-temperature protection function and cut off the heating power supply. Therefore, the temperature switch, as a key component of over-temperature protection, plays a vital role in the heating belt system.
Ⅱ. Principle of protection
1. Temperature switches are mechanically passive components that are often installed in the main circuit in heating belt systems. When the circuit fails or the current exceeds the rated value, the circuit is abnormally heated and causes the temperature to rise, and the temperature switch senses the external temperature change through the internal heat sensitive element bimetal, once the temperature exceeds the set threshold, the double piece produces deformation, disconnects the contact, cuts off the circuit, and thus plays a role in the protection of the whole machine.
2. When the thermally sensitive element is activated, the contact is disconnected, and the contact resistance changes instantaneously from less than 50mΩ to near infinity, turning off the main loop current, thus playing a protective role for the whole machine.
3. When the ambient temperature is reduced to the reset temperature of the temperature switch, the thermal sensing element returns to the initial state, the contact is re-closed, and the resistance signal within 50mΩ is given to the circuit, and the actuator operates according to the program setting.
Ⅲ. Installation location
The temperature switch is installed on the heating layer of the heating belt system, and is often placed close to the heating line or at a position where the heating temperature can be felt well and quickly, so as to monitor the temperature change in time.
Ⅳ. Selection factors
1. Rated current and voltage: Ensure that the rated current and voltage of the selected temperature switch meet the working current and voltage requirements of the heating belt to ensure normal operation.
2. Protection temperature: Depending on the design and installation location, the temperature levels of 120°C, 150°C, and 200°C are typically selected.
3. Contact switch form: it is divided into two types: normally closed and normally open, normally closed is the initial state of contact closure, and the contact is disconnected when it reaches the protective temperature. Normally open is the opposite. Different switch forms are selected according to the design.
4. Size and installation method: According to the size of the heating belt and the installation space, select the appropriate size and installation method of the thermal protector to ensure that the installation is convenient and does not affect the normal operation of the equipment
