Founded in October 2014, CHIPWAYS is a high-tech company focusing on the R&D and supply of automotive-grade core chips, with R&D centers and offices in Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Suzhou, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and other places in the United States. CHIPWAYS is one of the earliest companies in China to focus on the design of automotive semiconductor chips, and its products are mainly oriented to the field of new energy and intelligent network new generation sensors and control chips.
Core business
R&D and manufacturing of automotive-grade chips: Focus on the development of automotive-grade chips, covering a number of key fields, such as BMS (battery management system) AFE chips, 32-bit MCU chips, etc. Its XL88xx series chips have obtained ISO 26262 ASIL D functional safety product certification, becoming the first automotive-grade BMS AFE chip in China to pass this certification, reflecting its technological leadership in the field of automotive chips.
Software adaptation and support: The XL660x MCU MCAL software version was released, which is suitable for the automotive-grade 32-bit MCU chip product XL660x, which is independently developed and meets AEC-Q100 and ISO 26262 ASIL-B functional safety standards, showing that it not only focuses on chip hardware research and development, but also pays attention to software matching to achieve a complete automotive electronics solution.

Technical strength and development history
Functional safety certification: In November 2022, it passed the ISO 26262 functional safety ASIL D process certification, and in 2024, the XL88xx series chips obtained the ISO 26262 ASIL D product certification, indicating that its automotive chip development process and products meet the industry's highest functional safety standards, providing an important guarantee for the safety and reliability of automotive chips.
Standard participation and promotion: In 2023, it participated in the revision of the national standard "Battery Management System for Power Energy Storage" (GB/T 34131-2023), which played a positive role in the specification of BMS equipment manufacturing, engineering design, inspection rules and other content, reflecting its voice and influence in the formulation of industry standards.
Technological innovation and awards and honors: On May 31, 2023, it won the "Smart Electric Vehicle Science and Technology Innovation Award (Chip)", on July 14, it won the "Automotive Electronics Innovation Award" at the Automotive Electronics Innovation Conference, and on November 5, CHIPWAYS partner with China Automotive Innovation Corporation to jointly help the localization of vehicle-grade chips, which demonstrate its scientific and technological innovation strength and industry recognition in the field of automotive chips.
