Capacity expansion: "power + energy storage" two-wheel drive

CATL signed a contract with the Fuzhou Municipal Government to build a battery base with an annual production capacity of 40GWh in Luoyuan, further expanding its production capacity in the field of power batteries. EVE launched the second phase of the pile foundation project of the super factory in Jingmen High-tech Zone, with a total investment of 10.8 billion yuan and a planned production capacity of 60GWh, and its new generation of energy storage battery MB56 will be applied to multiple scenarios. Ruipu Lanjun will also establish a battery factory in Indonesia, with an estimated annual output of 8GWh of power and energy storage batteries in the first phase, and actively expand overseas markets.

According to the data of the high-tech industry and Huafu Securities, in January 2025, the production schedule of lithium iron phosphate battery manufacturers will increase by more than 150% year-on-year, and the production schedule of ternary lithium battery manufacturers will also show a growth trend, and the production schedule of key material production enterprises will increase. According to a survey by TrendForce, all-solid-state battery production will reach the gigawatt-hour order by 2027, and the China Commercial Industry Research Institute predicts that China's solid-state battery market is expected to grow to RMB 20 billion by 2030. Driven by demand in areas such as new energy vehicles and energy storage, the lithium battery market is expected to continue to maintain rapid growth.
