According to reports, Nvidia announced a partnership with Saudi Arabia, which aims to deeply participate in the construction of Saudi Arabia's sovereign digital technology facilities, and help Saudi Arabia rise in the field of artificial intelligence and become one of the global AI leaders.
Humain, an AI-focused subsidiary of Saudi sovereign wealth fund pif, is a key player in the partnership. Humain plans to build an ambitious ai factory over the next five years. The plant is expected to have a total capacity of up to 500 megawatts, and the sprawling facility will be equipped with hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA's state-of-the-art AI GPUs. Such a large-scale GPU deployment will provide extremely powerful computing power support for the development of artificial intelligence in Saudi Arabia. In the first phase of the project, HUMAIN will be the first to deploy 18,000 GB300 superchips, which will be interconnected at high speeds through NVIDIA's InfiniBand networking technology to build a high-performance AI supercomputer.
In addition to the construction of hardware facilities, the two sides also have a comprehensive plan for software and technology applications. HUMAIN will also deploy Saudi Arabia's first NVIDIA Omniverse Cloud. The Omniverse platform is a key achievement in NVIDIA's digital twin space, which enables the simulation and testing of physical AI solutions using digital twin technology. Through this platform, relevant enterprises and research institutions in Saudi Arabia can build, simulate and optimize various physical scenarios in a virtual environment, such as simulating the operation of production lines in the manufacturing industry and simulating the exploitation process of oil fields in the energy industry, which will greatly accelerate the process of applying AI technology in various industries in Saudi Arabia and promote industrial upgrading.
Nvidia also undertakes an important talent development task in this cooperation. To strengthen the country's computing ecosystem, NVIDIA will provide specialized skills training to thousands of developers in the country. These trainings are designed to equip developers with the ability to solve complex problems using accelerated computing and AI technologies, cultivate local AI technology talents for Saudi Arabia, and fundamentally improve Saudi Arabia's independent innovation capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence.

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority also plays an important role in this cooperation. The agency will deploy up to 5,000 Blackwell GPUs within the sovereign AI factory, which will be a powerful powerhouse for smart city solutions. At the same time, the government agency will work with NVIDIA to conduct training programs for government and university scientists and engineers on how to develop and deploy physical and agent AI models, reinvigorating academic research and practical applications in the field of artificial intelligence in Saudi Arabia.
Aramco Digital, the digital and technology subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, the Saudi energy giant, is also actively involved in the partnership. Aramco Digital will focus on developing AI computing infrastructure and leveraging NVIDIA's startup ecosystem to build an AI enterprise platform. In addition, the two companies will jointly create an Engineering and Robotics Center of Excellence, which will focus on driving innovation in AI applications in the energy sector, such as improving efficiency, reducing costs, and improving safety in areas such as oil exploration, refining process optimization, and intelligent management of energy production.
The cooperation between NVIDIA and Saudi Arabia not only has a significant role in promoting the development of artificial intelligence in Saudi Arabia, but also has a far-reaching impact on the world. From Saudi Arabia's own perspective, this is an important step in its "post-oil era" national strategic transformation, through the development of artificial intelligence technology, Saudi Arabia is expected to diversify its economy, get rid of excessive dependence on the oil industry, and enhance the country's position in the global technology field. From the perspective of the global AI industry pattern, Saudi Arabia's large-scale AI infrastructure construction will provide a new test field and development momentum for the research and development and application of global AI technology, and NVIDIA will also take this opportunity to further consolidate its leading position in the global AI computing market, and the cooperation between the two sides may lead a new wave of global AI industry development.
