WPG Launches Rockchip 40mw Low Power AOV IPC Solution

In the digital age, surveillance cameras have become the core of home and business security systems. However, traditional monitoring systems are often unable to achieve round-the-clock monitoring due to power supply constraints, which affects the level of safety. WPG Holdings' WPI Group's low-power AOV IPC solution based on Rockchip's RV1106 product marks a major breakthrough in security monitoring technology with its ultra-low power consumption of 40mW.

Technological innovation: the combination of low power consumption and high performance

Rockchip RV1106 is a product for a new generation of security front-end, integrating Arm Cortex A7 and RISC-V cores, and built-in Rockchip's self-developed 4th generation NPU, supporting int4, in8, int16 mixed quantization, with up to 1.0TOPs computing power. This combination of high performance and low power consumption makes the AOV IPC solution based on RV1106 only consume about 40mW in the working state of one frame per second, which significantly reduces energy consumption while maintaining high-performance monitoring capabilities.

Practical application: ultra-long standby and low false negative rate

In practice, the AOV IPC solution with RV1106G2 shows amazing standby capability. With a configuration with a 5200mAh battery, it can work for about 14 days even in sunless weather. This ultra-long standby capability, combined with the built-in self-developed AI algorithm of the solution, intelligently identifies multiple targets such as people and vehicles, and realizes long-distance detection and wake-up, significantly reducing the false negative rate.

Night vision: Starlight night vision and intelligence enhancement

The application of AOV+AI-ISP technology provides starlight-level night vision capability for the solution. Through low-light noise reduction and intelligent enhancement algorithms, the clarity and color reproduction of night surveillance images are greatly improved. This is especially important in the field of security surveillance, as nighttime is often the time of day when security incidents are high.

Coding efficiency: Super Coding 2.0 technology

In terms of coding, the application of Rockchip super coding 2.0 technology effectively compresses the bit rate, reduces the cost of cloud storage, and improves storage efficiency. The application of this technology not only improves the economy of the monitoring system, but also enhances its practicability.

Industry impact: Promote the advancement of security monitoring technology

WPG WPI Group's solution not only achieved a technological breakthrough, but also promoted the progress of the entire security monitoring technology. It solves the pain points of traditional low-power monitoring solutions such as false alarms, false negatives, and loss of key information, and brings new solutions to the field of security monitoring.

Conclusion: A new chapter in security monitoring

The low-power AOV IPC solution based on Rockchip's RV1106 product launched by WPG WPI Group has brought revolutionary changes to the field of security monitoring with its ultra-low power consumption, ultra-long standby capability, starlight-level night vision capability and efficient coding technology of 40mW. This solution not only improves the efficiency of the monitoring system, but also reduces operating costs, indicating that a new chapter in security monitoring technology has begun.
